Thank you so much for the "Cars rolling up to the starting line at Thunder Valley" photo on Friday. That is my wife Anne in the 71 Chevelle wagon and me in the 70 Chevelle. We managed to race each other on our 30th wedding anniversary Power Tour trip of a lifetime ! She hole shotted me by several thousandts with the heavy small block wagon, but my 496 BBC rolled into the lights somewhat ahead of her (sleeping in the dog house for a while). Thanks for the great picture, we will treasure it forever.

Great coverage Jake. I wish I could have made the trip this year. I really wanted to see Bristol. Maybe next year.

Jake,
I would have bought you the $25 track ride if I had been there. You should not have missed that. I did it at Bristol in 2007 >> 22 laps in the Monte Convert. Nothing like running around a circle on the suspension snubbers at 80+. All that following a neat SSR Pace Truck (they cheat by setting the truck up for the job). Great coverage of the HRPT for those of us totally unable to do it this year. Thanks! If I can kick these health issues, I'll try to be there next year, as HRPT 08 was one of the best experiences I have had in a car. Besides that, I met you and lovely Allison.
Later, for sure, >> PETE
